Hits the spot every time

Happy Thursday!

Tomorrow is already Friday!! This week has actually flew by pretty fast for me. I am excited to relax and have a fun weekend. I don’t really have much plans yet but who knows what will come up. One thing I definitely have planned is to run. I have a week from Saturday until my Race Day!!!

Speaking of running, I was able to get in a great run yesterday. I didn’t feel like I lost too much of my endurance that I had built up, but I know I need to put in some good work this weekend and next week so I will be in good shape for the Saturday race. I am so glad that I have picked up running as a new hobby. I used to just run occasionally, and when I did, it wasn’t really anything substantial. But after I started seeing how much some of these bloggers loved running, I thought that maybe I would like it, too. So I have slowly been building up to more and more…and it makes me feel SO amazing! The “runner’s high” is NOT a myth! :) I really think is something that I will become passionate about. I am so glad I decided to give it a shot!

Now, here was this morning’s breakfast:

Oatbran!!! The mixture included:

1/2 cup oatbran, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup skim milk, cinnamon, frozen blueberries, a few chopped apricots (yuuumm!), and 1 tbsp Naturally More Peanut Butter.

I am so glad that I’ve been seeing the Naturally More pb showing up on more blogs. I LOVE this peanut butter! I contains flaxseed and other healthful add ins and it has a total of 10 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber!!!

Today for my lunch at school I had a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread with a teensy bit of jelly. Plus a side salad and 1% milk.

My afternoon snack:

Triscuit thin crisps with a broken up colby jack cheese stick

After my snack, I decided to shred it up with Jilian.

Then for dinner:

A yummy salad, and brown rice w/shrimpies!

This was delicious!

For dessert, the family all had Braum’s Frozen Yogurt Icecream, because we are celebrating my Mom’s Birthday! We had cappuccino chocolate chunk and vanilla. mmmm! (this is what my post title is referring to!)

Happy Birthday, Momma Sweet Cheeks! :)

Tomorrow I am planning on waking up early and going for my run outside before I get ready for school. This will be my first early morning run…I think I might end up really liking running first thing in the morning. I’m actually excited for it!

Hope you all have a great Thursday evening. See ya tomorrow!

  3. Dulcie- I LOVE oatbran! I usually prefer it over regular oatmeal now. It is much more thick and creamy. You should definitely give it a try!
