I hope you all are having fantastic days with lots of celebrating!
First, I’d just like to say thank you all so much for the sweet comments about my race and photos from yesterday. Ya’ll certainly know how to make a girl feel good. :) I am so glad I decided to start this blog…you guys have are such a supportive, optimistic, sweet group of people and I feel so lucky to be a part of it!
Sorry to get mushy on you, but its all true! ;)
Here was my Easter morning breakfast:
A delicious bowl of oatbran which contained:
- 1/2 cup oatbran
- 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup milk
- 2 scoops of cottage cheese
- tbsp flax
- cinnamon
- banana slices
- tbsp Naturally More peanut butter
A great start to my day. Do you guys like my new tea mug?? I found that at Gordmans on clearance for $2! I have a weakness for cute mugs.
Later on this morning, my mom and I hit up the grocery store. I got a few new things that I have never tried before…figs!! AND after seeing prunes popping up on a few blogs, I wanted to try them, too. I had some as my lunch treat.
The verdict? I really like them!
I like that they are individually wrapped because they stay much more fresh.
OH, I also picked up some Might Maple peanut butter!!! That will show up on my blog very soon, I'm sure. ;)
I also wanted to show something new that I tried yesterday after my race:
I picked this up at a gas station before went to the race yesterday. I REALLY liked it!! It was SO creamy. There were also chocolate, banana, and strawberry flavors. I would definitely purchase this again. It does contain a bit of artificial sweeteners, so I personally would not make this an all the time thing, but for every now and then, its great!
Tonight my mom, sister, and I are going to head over the G-rents for an Easter dinner. Until then, I thought I might do some yoga…my legs are a bit sore from yesterday!
I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekends! Love!
ahh I am with you girl - cute mugs get my everytime... 2 dollars though?! can't beat that! Its so adorable!
ReplyDeleteglad you liked the prunes, love I am obsessed with them <3!
enjoy the rest of your Easter =)

I've never tried that stuff - but it sounds pretty good sans the artificial sweeteners - but SO many products have artificial stuff in it these days, you know? At least it tasted good :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family! Cutest Easter breakfast ever, too, by the way!
Love, Meg!
Hi! I just stumbled on your blog, and am glad I have. I'm a runner too, and I totally understand the excitment you described during that race. I run Cross Country for my school and a "runner's high" is pretty much the best feeling ever. :)
ReplyDeleteYour oatmeal also looks absolutely delicious. Simple but with lots of health and flavor - perfect!
My brother drinks Muscle Milk too. He used to drink the premade mix but now buys the powder and mixes it with milk before/after a workout. He gets the banana one, and loves it.
Anyway, hope you're doing good!
