Peanut Butter on the brain

Hi guys!! How has everyone’s Monday been? For me, It was kind of rough to get back into the swing of things after having a four day weekend! I made it though, and now I’m relaxing on the couch. Ahhh :)

So, about the title of this post…I have been eating peanut butter allll day today long! I, like some of you, have a serious love for nut butter. I have yet to find something that doesn’t go well with peanut butter.(or any nut butter!) It has got to be in my top five favorite foods EVER. To start off the peanut butter frenzy, here was breakfast:

To fuel me for the morning, I had a toasted whole wheat bagel half with natural PEANUT BUTTER and 1/2 sliced banana on top:

(sorry for the ugly picture…for some reason I didn’t have my flash on. I tried to lighten it up on the computer, but it still doesn’t look very good!)

I also have a bowl of white for protein:

And my new pretty mug..full of green tea!

Then for lunch at school, I had the usual:

  • PEANUT BUTTER and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread
  • salad
  • 1% milk

After school, I came home and had a wonderful snack:

2 PEANUT BUTTER banana muffins…which after I took this pic, I proceeded to slather in some more PEANUT BUTTER :D  I heated these babies up in the microwave so the chocolate chips were nice and melty. Best muffins ever!!!

After my snack, I felt like Shreddin’ it with Jillian. I did level 2 for the first time…I was sweating like crazy! I really liked it a lot though. It was nice to do some different moves that I have never done before.

For dinner I made a fast, simple, and delicious recipe. It only has 3 ingredients!

Soysauge Cheese Balls:

1 lb. turkey sausage (I used soy sausage)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 egg
Mix all together (like a meatloaf, get in all mixed well) and just form little balls with them and put on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam and cook at 350 for about 1/2 hour or until golden brown. (If you want them browned on all sides, turn halfway through cooking).

I also steamed some broccoli with cheese.

These are so good!

And then I made my 2nd recipe from Jenna’s E-cookbook…Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites! This recipe is from Gretchen at www.cleangreencuisine.blogspot.com

Of course, this recipe contained PEANUT BUTTER!

HOLY YUM!!! I gave up on making them look pretty. It was messy! I had 1 before I put them in the freezer. I can’ wait to try them frozen tomorrow!!

It was a wonderful, peanut buttery day…just the way I like it. :)

And now I’m off to watch Dancing with the Stars!

Have a great night! xoxo

  1. Ummm so confession: I'm totally drooling right now! Haha! Peanut butter does go well with just about everything and anything, sweet, spicy, savory - PB can add some serious goodness to it all. I totally agree. Needless to say I love your eats - especially the bannas, holy cow do they look delish! Enjoy your night of TV and relaxation :) I'm also still trying to get back into the swing after my long weekend.

    Love,
    Meg :)
